Train

Via Augsburg and Buchloe to Füssen station.

Car

Via A7 motorway (Ulm-Kempten-Füssen); take the Füssen exit, head towards Schwangau, we are on left after 3 km.
Recommended alternative route in case of heavy traffic: A7 Kempten exit, take the B12 to Marktoberdorf, then the B16 to Roßhaupten, from there OAL 1 to Buching, and finally B17 to Schwangau (55 km).

Our tip for travelling in high season:
coming from the north on A7 to Nesselwang exit, then onwards towards Seeg to the centre of Roßhaupten. Drive past Illasbergsee lake to Buching/Halblech and on to the B17 “Romantic Road” towards Schwangau and straight on to Bannwaldsee campsite.
