Neuschwanstein Castle
Construction of the fairytale castle near the Pöllatschlucht gorge began in 1869. The romantic dream of a Ludwig II's Grail Castle is Germany's most famous castle and attracts visitors from all over the world. www.neuschwanstein.de
Hohenschwangau Castle
This 19th century castle is close to the Alpsee lake. It was built on the ruins of an ancient fort as a summer residence for crown prince Maximilian, who later became king of Bavaria.
Roman treasures at Tegelberg mountain
Remains of a Roman estate (Villa Rustica) were discovered at the foot of Tegelberg mountain in 1934. It was founded in the middle of the second Century AD. Further excavations in 1966 and 1996, during construction of the Tegelberg valley station and the summer toboggan run, uncoverd the remains of a Roman bath. It was in a very good condition and successfully restored, and is known far beyond Bavaria. www.tegelbergbahn.de

The former musical theatre is located right on the shore of Lake Forggensee, just 5 km from our campsite. It offers a constantly changing programme of top-class events.
